End Abortion Now

NATIONAL CAMPAIGN TO END ABORTION NOW

We, the people, have an extremely important task before our Nation.

It is in the form of a special request that all American citizens answer a "clarion call to duty.” Psalm 15 reminds us that, He who does justice will live in the presence of the Lord.”

This request is simple and every American citizen can take the action requested, if they find it in their heart and soul to do so.

The issue at hand is the terrible law that allows abortion in America.  Over 51 million American children have been killed since our United States Supreme Court ruled in 1973 (Roe v Wade).  Every 20 seconds an American child is killed at the hands of an abortionist or by the use of deadly drugs.  This infanticide is the worst sin that our nation has ever allowed and it must come to a stop.

This issue of abortion is not a Democrat, nor a Republican issue.  It is not a conservative or liberal issue.  It is not an issue owned by any church, synagogue, nor mosque.  It has nothing to do with money, who has it and who does not.  It is not a race issue, only in the sense that it is a human race issue.  This is an issue of grave importance that transcends all Americans everywhere and with your help, we truly can stop abortion in America.  The time is upon us, the winds are blowing favorably, the time to act is now.

We can end our American nightmare in a very simple way.  We, the People, in our Constitutional representative democracy, have the power to end abortion with new legislation to be passed by our next Congress, who will be sworn in during the month of January, 2011.

There are two stages of action to take.  The first stage is requested now, for all Americans to send a letter or an e-mail to all current candidates for the United States House of Representatives and for the United States Senate, including Senators not up for re-election.  Each citizen can identify the candidates in their Congressional District and also their Senators and Senatorial candidates.

After the election in November, the elected representatives will be clearly known, and at that time, the second stage of action will be encouraged, which is to either write a letter or send an e-mail to the elected Congressperson and to all United States Senators, including those elected in November.

The actual motion proposed is extracted from Ireland’s Eighth Amendment to their Constitution, with some minor alterations.  Their Amendment effectively ended abortion in Ireland without Constitutional challenges.  The text of the letter is as follows:

Dear (Candidate, or current Senator),

Abortion kills an American child every 20 seconds.  Over 51 million American children have been killed by abortion since January 22, 1973.  You can help to bring our American tragedy to an end by supporting the “Legislation for Life” in our United States Congress.

January 22, 2011 will be the 38th anniversary of the Roe v Wade, United States Supreme Court decision.  That date would be appropriate for the United States House of Representatives to make the following motion and vote on the floor of the House:

"Mister, or Madame Speaker,

The United States of America acknowledges the right to life of the unborn from the moment of their conception and, with due regard to the equal right to life of the mother, guarantees in its laws to respect, and, as far as practicable, by its laws to defend and vindicate that right.”

The legislation would protect the life of the mother, if her life was in danger due to her pregnancy.

Once the motion is made, then a second to the motion would probably be made.  The members of our United States House of Representatives must then cast their vote.  If passed in the House, the Senate would then take up the legislation, and once passed there, would proceed to the President for enactment into law.  If vetoed by the President, a veto can be overridden by Congress.

The will of We, the People will have been heard, and the legislation to legalize life will become the law of our land.  Abortion in America will effectively come to an end in our Nation.

The request is simple, yet imperative for all Americans yet to be conceived and born.
Please answer your "clarion call to duty" and please remember this,

He who does justice will live in the presence of the Lord.”

Thank you for your consideration,

A fellow American
